The Library of the Department of Philosophy is the oldest library in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and consists of 15.000 volumes, enriched by the donations of Haralampos Theodoridis and Yannis Imvriotis, late professors of the Faculty. The volumes cover all periods of philosophical thought (Ancient Greek, Medieval, Modern European and Contemporary), as well as all the major sub-disciplines of Philosophy (Ontology, Metaphysics, Epistemology, Ethics and Philosophy of Politics, Aesthetics, Philosophy of Science, Logic, Philosophy of Language, Philosophical Anthropology, Philosophy of Social Science, etc.). The library is computerized and has computer workstations for searching through the bibliographical database. All Aristotle University library card holders are entitled to borrow books.

Library of Education, Old Building, room 207

The Library consists of 21.000 volumes, 18.000 of which are books (in Greek, English, German and French), while the rest are periodicals, both Greek and international, as well as encyclopaedias, dictionaries, MA and PhD theses, educational legislature, daily press entries/lemmas (1976-1991) and information material. The volumes in the Library cover the following topics: History of Education, General and Special Education, General and Special Teaching, Classroom and School Sociology, Continuing Education, Teacher Education, Educational Psychology, ICT in Education, etc. The library is computerized and has computer workstations for searching through the bibliographical database. All Aristotle University library card holders are entitled to borrow books.
