The School of Philosophy and Education
The School of Philosophy and Education is one of the eight Schools of the Faculty of Philosophy: the first Faculty of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which was founded in 1925 and opened its doors in 1926. The School was founded in 1984 as School of Philosophy, Education and Psychology and received its present structure in 1993.
The School offers a degree (“Ptychion”) in Philosophy and Education (with specialisation either in Philosophy or in Education), which aims both at training scientists in the fields of philosophy and education and at producing graduates who will be competent Secondary Education teachers.
The School offers also two M.A. programmes, in Philosophy, and in Education, as well as the possibility of obtaining a PhD in both disciplines.
